Tea time or plain cake is a soft spongy cake usually found in Pakistani bakeries. This type of soft tea cake is often eaten with tea. The recipe I am showing you in this video is authentic bakery style. This spongy tea time plain cake is very easy to make and you don't need to have an oven. You can easily make it in a wok.
Ingredients:
Sugar Powder 350gms (2cups)
Oil 250gms (1 and 1/4cup)
Eggs Medium 6
All Purpose Flour 320gms (2cups)
Baking Powder 15gms (1tbs)
Salt 1/2tsp
Lemon Essence 2 drops
Some oil to brush
Baking Time
Oven 30 minutes at 180c
Karahi 40 minutes in low flame
Cool 20 minutes after baking
