Simple white sauce


Ingredients


  • 2 tablespoon butter

  • 2 tablespoon plain flour

  • 1 cup milk

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt


Preparation


  1. In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoon butter.

  2. Add 2 tablespoon flour and stir until the butter and flour are well combined.

  3. Pour 1cup of milk in it, stirring constantly with whisk as it thickens.

  4. Add salt and more milk depending on desired consistency.

  5. Once thick and simmering, cook for 2 minutes to cook the flour out.

  • 1/4teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1/2 cup of cheddar cheese


Cheese Sauce preparation


  1. In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoon butter.

  2. Add 2 tablespoon flour and stir until the butter and flour are well combined.

  3. Pour 1 cup of milk in it, stirring constantly with whisk as it thickens.

  4. Add more milk depending on desired consistency.

  5. Once thick and simmering, cook for 2 minutes to cook the flour out.

  6. Stir in 1/2 cup grated Cheddar cheese during the last 2 minutes of cooking, along with salt and pepper.
